Brief: Create an annual trends report examining the role of type in contemporary design. This project is the cornerstone of our yearly brand, PR, and marketing programming and informs everything from brand and agency presentations to speaking sessions.

Monotype’s annual Trends Report is a major group effort, stretching from our type design team to content, design, PR, marketing, and Sales.
My job is to steer the project from start to finish. Our type designers sketch out trends, then work with the content team to expand those trends into narratives. The Design team simultaneously develops a visual language for the report, which I ensure is connected to the narrative. I work with the marketing and sales teams to build an outbound comms strategy and develop a webinar in which our type designers dive into the Trends Report and take questions from the audience. The report regularly generates 10,000-plus downloads a year.
